On Tuesday 27th April GSG Energy were delighted to welcome representatives from the private and public sector across Scotland to the Teacher Building, St Enoch Square for a seminar on legislation changes affecting Air Conditioning and the Carbon Reduction Commitment.
The seminar took the form of an informal presentation, from GSG Energy Director and CIBSE Air Conditioning Inspector Michael A Gribben, and discussion forum on the new changes to Air Conditioning Systems, which are required to be in place at the start of 2011. The obligations are briefly noted below;
As of the 4th January 2011, all air conditioning systems over 250kW will require to have been inspected by an accredited inspector and a report generated as to its efficiency, providing advice on the system and identifying potential savings.
As of the 4th January 2013, all air conditioning systems over 12kW will require to have been inspected by an accredited inspector and a report generated as to its efficiency, providing advice on the system and identifying potential savings.
A total of 30 people attended, all of whom contributed to a wonderful event that culminated in a review of the Carbon Reduction Commitment.
Glenn Stevens, Facilities Account Manager at the AMG Group commented that the seminar was "very well received due to the confident knowledge of the speaker and the well structured presentation."
William Morris, Managing Director of Eco Solutions Consultants offered "I was delighted that you achieved the expected turn out for the seminar which proved that there is not enough awareness of the subject across Scotland. I felt the seminar was delivered well and targeted at the right people."
